These Terms of Use govern your use of the CleanSlate app ("the App"), operated by Jacob Lines ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms.
CleanSlate is a self-tracking app for reducing or quitting alcohol, smoking, and vaping, tracked independently. It helps you log check-ins, cravings, and slips, track streaks or a weekly unit budget, and see patterns between your mood, cravings, and triggers over time. It is not a medical device, a clinical tool, a source of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) guidance, or a substitute for professional medical, addiction, or mental health support. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, or are concerned about your alcohol or drug use, please contact a qualified professional, your GP, or your local emergency services.
CleanSlate offers a free tier and CleanSlate Premium, an auto-renewable subscription available monthly (£2.99) or annually (£14.99), with a 7-day free trial. Premium unlocks tracking more than one substance at once, Insights, unlimited Pot of Gold goals, full history, custom triggers, biometric app lock, and higher badge tiers. Subscriptions are processed by Apple via in-app purchase and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods except where required by law.
All data you enter in CleanSlate is stored locally on your device. We have no access to it. If you delete the app or use the "Delete all my data" function in Settings, your data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details.
You agree to use CleanSlate only for its intended purpose. You must not attempt to reverse engineer, copy, modify, or distribute the App or any part of it.
CleanSlate is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. It is a self-tracking and motivational tool only, and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that any insight, pattern, or nudge shown in the App is accurate or complete. We are not liable for any loss of data, including if you delete the app or reset your data, nor for any decision you make based on information shown in the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. The date at the top of this page will reflect any updates.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
